Post-Tensioned Concrete Application

This technique is most commonly used on site and, like prestressing, consists of the application of stresses prior to the entry into service of a structure, with the difference that all the active reinforcement of the structural element (slab, floor slab, etc.) is subjected to stressing of the strands after concreting.

The strands that constitute the active reinforcement of the element can be adherent or non-adherent to the concrete; Galcore currently produces bare strands (with or without surface oil), suitable for use in structures such as bridge decks, large span slabs, or wind towers, among others. Galcore offers seven strand strands in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the national and international market and we continue working to expand our range.
